The PACE Heated Stack Filter Box is constructed
of 316 Stainless Steel and designed to be
mounted in an outdoor environment on an
emissions stack. A stainless steel probe
extending halfway into the stack is connected to
a 3" 150 lb. 304 Stainless Steel flange, drilled
and tapped to accept a 3/4" npt fitting. On the
opposite side of the flange is a 3/8" tee
fitting. One path leads directly to a stainless
steel filter housing utilizing a 25 micron
filter. The other path is used as an injection
port for calibration gas via the 1/4" teflon
tube in the heated sample line (not shown). A
1/3 psi check valve is also installed to prevent
stack gas from entering the calibration line.
The entire Heated Stack Filter Box is fully
insulated. Power is supplied from the PACE Model
1400 Temperature Controller via messenger wires
in the heated line. A 120VAC 250 watt finned
heater keeps the temperature of the box at a
constant 240°F which is regulated through the
PACE 1401/2/3 temperature controller. The only maintenance
required on the PACE Heated Stack Filter Box is
the filter located inside the stainless steel
filter assembly.
